Professor Miroslava Chavez-Garcia has received the Bolton-Cutter Prize from the Western History Association for the best article in Spanish Borderlands history for her piece “Migrant Longing, Courtship, and Gendered Identity in the U.S.-Mexico Borderlands,” which appeared in the Western Historical Quarterly.
