A Thirst for Empire, Professor Rappaport’s recent book on how tea shaped the British empire, has won a Gourmand World Cookbook Awards for the Best Book on Tea in the United States and the World. The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards were founded in 1995 by Edouard Cointreau and are the only international competition that features food writing. Every year, they honor the best books on food and wine. Congratulations, Professor Rappaport!
