Award honors those who illuminate Mixed racial and cultural experience.
Professor Paul Spickard has been awarded the Loving Prize by the Mixed Roots Film and Literary Festival, a project of the New York Foundation for the Arts.
The Loving Prize, established in 2008, is awarded annually to outstanding artists, storytellers and community leaders for inspirational dedication to celebrating and illuminating the Mixed racial and cultural experience.
Professor Spickard will be honored at a ceremony to be held at 6:30pm on June 11 at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles.
