The Crisis and the Global Economy

Please join us for a talk by BARRY EICHENGREEN, Economics and Political Science, UC Berkeley. “The Crisis and the Global Economy.” A former advisor to the International Monetary Fund, Eichengreen is the author of Globalizing Capital: A History of the International Monetary System (2008) and Global Imbalances and the Lessons of Bretton Woods (2006).
The talk, and subsequent discussion, is part of the History 294: Colloquium in Work, Labor, and Political Economy, 2010-2011 lecture series.
The Winter Quarter topic is “The Financial Crisis and its Origins.”
The Colloquium meets on Friday, March 4 at 1 p.m. in 4041 Humanities and Social Science Building.
