Next Generation Nano? Narratives of Synthetic Biology

This talk will explore how narratives of novelty and familiarity have been routinely deployed by practitioners, analysts, and policymakers alike in synthetic biology, and what this may mean for a consideration of synthetic biology as “the new new thing” for studies of emerging technoscience.
Luis Campos is a graduate of Harvard’s History of Science Department and is now an assistant professor, focusing on the history of biology, at Drew University.
