Special Topics – Race and Gender in 20th-century US and the World

About the Course:
This course considers the influence of race, gender, and sexuality in twentieth-century US history. We will examine how these categories have operated as ideas, identities, and unifying causes propelling historical developments and structures such as U.S. American Empire, law and order, surveillance, and the gendering and racialization of space.
