Significant Letters in the Life of Old Mission Santa Barbara: Historical Letters from the Archives

Public Lecture Celebrating 225 years of Franciscan Presence in Santa Barbara
Serra Hall is on the Corner of Los Olivos and Garden Streets.
Visitors can use street parking and walk up the drive to the hall.
Speakers:
Jack Clark Robinson O.F.M.
Franciscan friar and teacher of friars and member of the Academy of
American Franciscan History, but for those interested, the letters after
his name include: B.A. (Kentucky Wesleyan College); J.D. (University of
Kentucky); M.Div. (Catholic Theological Union of Chicago) and Ph.D.
(University of Kentucky at Santa Barbara) and he has taught at The
Franciscan Institute at St. Bonaventure University and the Oblate School of
Theology, as well as a Franciscan novitiate near you.
Eric Pilarcik O.F.M.
Franciscan friar living at Old Mission Santa Bárbara with roots in Michigan
and Los Angeles. He has experience in movie production and real estate.
Currently he is working in the Provincial Archives and as secretary for the
Cause for Sainthood of Bl. Junípero Serra. He has a Master’s Degree in
Theology from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley with a focus on
California Mission Revival studies.
