EAP Course Substitutions:
Please contact the Undergraduate History Department Advising Office (history-undergraduate-advisor@ucsb.edu) if you are attempting to petition a course you took a course through EAP and would like it to be applied to your history department major or minor. A detailed course syllabus is required for any class you are planning to petition. Please reach out to the instructor or department advisor who offered the course for help obtaining the syllabus if you do not still have it.
Please note that you can only submit a petition AFTER you have completed the course, and allow at least a few weeks for your course petition to be reviewed.
Approved Substitutions:
Please consult the following list to view upper-division substitution courses from EAP institutions that have been pre-approved (or rejected) for major requirements:

EAP for History of Public Policy and Law Majors:
EAP courses that go toward your Area B requirements will NOT automatically appear in your progress checks on GOLD once they are successfully petitioned. To apply your approved EAP classes to your Area B requirements, please contact the Undergraduate History Department Advising Office (history-undergraduate-advisor@ucsb.edu), including your perm number, the list of courses, and the requirements you want to apply each of them to.
Please note that you can only submit this petition request AFTER you have completed or are enrolled in ALL of your Area B courses, and allow at least a few weeks for your petition to be reviewed. You DO NOT have to submit your EAP course substitution petition request at the same time as your Area B petition request.
