Professor Emerita Sarah Cline’s book El libro de testamentos de Culhuacán awarded prestigious Antonio García Cubas Prize

Dr. Sarah Cline’s most recent book, El libro de testamentos de Culhuacán: vida y muerte entre los nahuas del México central, siglo XVI (Universidad Iberoamericana Press) has been awarded the prestigious Antonio García Cubas Prize. The García Cubas prize, awarded by the National Institute of Anthropology of Mexico, recognizes the best works in Anthropology and History published in the country.

 

El libro de testamentos is a revised trilingual edition of The Testaments of Culhuacan (Nahuatl transcription, English, and Spanish) along with an analytical study, and was produced jointly with Miguel León Portilla in collaboration with Juan Antonio Torres López.
