SUMMARY:2023 Desert Russian History Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Desert Russian History Workshop meets annually and brings together historians of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union from universities throughout the western United States.  Previous venues have included the University of Nevada at Reno\, the University of Nevada at Las Vegas\, Arizona State University\, and U.C. Riverside. \nThe Desert Workshop offers a unique format in which papers on a variety of topics in Russian/Soviet history receive intensive reading and discussion by the entire group of 30-35 faculty and graduate students.
